Busy Kids

Major has been busy with play practice.  He was in the junior high school production of "Surviving Reality".  It was a spoof on reality TV.  He played a snooty rich kid.  This picture is from the end of the show where he has to trade places with the hill billies.  It was a cute show and he enjoyed doing it.  He has now moved on to practicing with the track team.
Carol has been doing tennis for several months now.  She made the high school team.  She loves her new pink outfit that I bought for her.  Her uniform is not pink.  She is doing well and I'm very proud of her for learning a new sport.  She is planning to do badminton next year along with tennis.  She loves high school!
Our hard drive died and we were without a computer for 2 weeks - most of the time trying to figure out how to restore our info.  We finally figured it out!  I felt quite handicapped without a computer.  Using an iphone for everything is not the best, but thank goodness we had that!

New Years Party

We had lots of good food at our New Years Party.  It was mostly kids, but we had a good time.
Most of the adults went to other parties, but came over later for the New Year celebration.
 Everyone stayed awake until midnight!
Then we had fireworks, because they are legal now!  Yeah!

Skiing

During Christmas break Carol and Major went skiing for the first time with their cousins.
They caught on very fast and had a great time!  They can't wait to go again!

Christmas 2010

For Christmas this year we got a new tree and new decorations.  We all thought it was a beautiful tree!
Carol got a camera for Christmas and has become our family photographer.  She loves to take pictures and had so many on her camera that it has taken this long to edit them out and give me some.  I am so happy to have someone take pictures!

Juliette got legos for Christmas.
Lucy got the doll she wanted.  She promptly cut off the bangs!
Major has been having a good time with his nerf gun.

Desert Ridge Football

Clint was so excited when Desert Ridge High School made it to the state football finals.  It was a big deal for us since Desert Ridge is such a new school and this was the first time in over 20 years that a Gilbert school has gone to the finals so we all went.
Carol rode the bus with all the students.  It was held at the Cardinals stadium.  One of the important players is in our ward, so we felt important knowing someone!  haha!
We didn't win against Hamilton High School (not unexpected) but at least it was a good fight and we didn't get slaughtered!  We killed them on fans!  Go Jags!

The Nutcracker

Lucy danced in The Nutcracker Act II with her dance studio.  She did Waltz of the Flowers and the Chinese Dance.  She had so much fun!
Juliette didn't want to do it this year, but I hope next year she will.

Halloween

This year for Halloween our ward had a trunk or treat on Saturday.  I told the kids that this year I wasn't going to buy any costumes - they had to be creative.  Major has been studying the civil war in school and  decided to be a union officer.  I thought it looked really good, but he was disappointed that people thought he was a policeman or a mailman.  I told him to tell everyone that he was Major Brown!  ha ha!
Lucy told everyone she was Bloody Mary - whatever that was.
Juliette had plans to be a doctor, but never bothered to change out of her soccer uniform, from that mornings game, so she just went as a soccer player.  Carol was at her cast party, so she didn't dress up other than put on a cowboy hat.  She had so much fun!
