Spring Break 2011

For Spring Break we based our trip around a visit to Google.  While in Oakland, Carol and Major did baptisms with Clint and I took the girls to the visitors center.  The flowers at the temple were so beautiful!  California is just so beautiful!
We visited two science centers with our AZ Science Center year pass.  What a deal!

The highlight was visiting Google with Bruce and Karren Christensen.  That place is awesome!  We were very impressed!
Carol also wanted to visit Stanford while we were there.  We can always dream!
We also visited the Winchester Mystery House.  It was very expensive, but we all enjoyed it.  It wasn't creepy like I thought, but had beautiful Tiffany stained glass and very unusual architecture.  All the original furnishings were sold, so that was a bummer.  I'm sure it was fabulous in it's day.  But I wouldn't recommend it unless you love looking at old houses.

Busy Kids

Major has been busy with play practice.  He was in the junior high school production of "Surviving Reality".  It was a spoof on reality TV.  He played a snooty rich kid.  This picture is from the end of the show where he has to trade places with the hill billies.  It was a cute show and he enjoyed doing it.  He has now moved on to practicing with the track team.
Carol has been doing tennis for several months now.  She made the high school team.  She loves her new pink outfit that I bought for her.  Her uniform is not pink.  She is doing well and I'm very proud of her for learning a new sport.  She is planning to do badminton next year along with tennis.  She loves high school!
Our hard drive died and we were without a computer for 2 weeks - most of the time trying to figure out how to restore our info.  We finally figured it out!  I felt quite handicapped without a computer.  Using an iphone for everything is not the best, but thank goodness we had that!
