Juliette's Baptism

Juliette was baptized on Saturday. I can't figure out how to get the pictures in the right order, but here is her cute cake that Melissa Lee (my cousin) made. It was so cute and yummy too! It was chocolate with oreo filling!
Juliette is such a sweet girl. She was nervous, but excited to be baptized. She is glad that now she isn't the only one that isn't baptized in our family.
My niece Brittney took these pictures of Juliette in my mom's backyard.
I was surprised when Britney had her sit on this ugly bench in front of an ugly wall in the corner, but it turned out so cute! This is by the dirt box!

Now that Juliette is 8, we can all go to the Gila Valley temple dedication, the conference center for general conference and Kartchner Caverns!

Awards

Major got an honorable mention award for his poem for the district writing contest - Voices. I had never heard of this, but it is a big deal since there are about 65,000 students that they chose entries from. I think they are all school assignments.
At our schools Arts and Academics Night Major also won first place for his poem (same one) and his drawing. Juliette also won first place for her drawing. I am so proud of them!

The Best Year Ever

On Friday I went with Lucy's school class on their field trip to the state capitol. I don't think I have been since I was in elementary school, so it was fun. It was a very quick tour! We will have to go again and see the rest of the things we missed.

On Saturday Carol and Lucy had their musical theater show "The Best Year Ever". They both had lots of solos and did a great job!
