Spring Break 2010

Yesterday we visited the Casa Grande ruins. We had a good time. The kids did the Junior Ranger program and learned a lot. Major especially loves to do them!

I'm sad that spring break is over!

Spring Break 2010

Today we went to the AZ Natural History Museum. Juliette went there on her field trip and really wanted us to go. We had fun. We were really freaked out with the jail. It gave me the creeps!

The kids loved panning for gold. The weather was so beautiful and the orange blossoms were so strong! It smelled heavenly!

Today we had lunch at the Guru Palace (Indian Food). I thought it was great! The kids were good sports, but thought it was too weird - except for the naan bread. We all wished we could have sat on the cushions on the floor. Maybe next time!

Then they played with cousins the rest of the day.

Yesterday we ate at the Pita Jungle. We all liked that! We took Carol and Major to do baptisms at the temple in the morning. Then the kids rode bikes and just hung out.

Spring Break 2010

Since we can never travel on Spring Break, we try to have a vacation at home. Major started off with a district camporee over the weekend. He started 4 merit badges that are only offered this year for the 100 year celebration of scouts. He loves scouts!Today we went to the AZ Science Center with the Dewitt's. We had to drag Major away!
We went to the new planetarium and learned about the planets.
They had lots of demonstrations that were really fun.
We stayed there pretty much all day.
Then we went to eat at Tott's Asian Diner, Clint's favorite place. He confessed to eating there every Tuesday after we go to the temple! Then we went to Udder Delights and got ice cream! Yum! Yum! Tonight Clint took Carol and Major to see "The Lightening Thief" because they had movie tickets. I am going to read my book! I love spring break!
