Then we always have a Nativity. Carol always complains that she has never been Mary, so this year she got to do it. She was so happy! Lucy and Juliette were angels and Major was a shepherd.

Christmas Eve
For Christmas Eve my family always gets together for a fancy dinner and a program. For the program each family presents a talent. This year our family all did it together. We played a modified version of Joseph Dearest. Major and Carol made up their own parts. Major did a version of Silent Night for his part. I thought they did an excellent job! I made up alternate words to be more about the Saviour instead of Joseph. Clint sang with the girls, because with all the other instruments playing different parts, it was hard for them to stay on track.

December Death March
The week before Christmas is always the "death march". It seems like there is something every night. Major had his orchestra and choir concert. He did really well. He is such a little musician. He especially loves the piano. This year he has been playing out of the Reader's Digest Christmas Song Book just for fun. I'm loving it!

Lucy had her dance recital. She was in two numbers and did a great job!
At the Thomas cousin party the kids put on the Nativity. Major and Juliette participated. Lucy didn't want to do it. They always love this party because Santa comes and brings them a present. They also enjoy playing with all the second cousins that they only see about once a year. The family is getting huge! Last night we went to our friend's party. The kids were invited and they were so excited to play the "white elephant" game. They actually ended up with stuff they liked, for the most part. I think next time they will listen to me and choose an unwrapped gift instead of taking their chances just so they can unwrap something.
