Juliette's Overalls

For some reason, Juliette has fallen in love with overalls. She would constantly beg me for some. They are not a popular item right now, but I happened to find some at Wal-mart when we were in Pinetop and so I bought them. They are a little small, it was the only size they had, but she wouldn't let me return them. She wears them everyday. This is her favorite shirt, but she will change the shirt daily. She also likes this "matching" hat, as she calls it. She tells me everyday that she wishes that everyone in our family had overalls and wonders why I don't wear any. She noticed a baby at church wearing some and pointed it out to me. Any jumper type outfit is overalls to her. She carries around a doll that wears overalls. She refuses to let me wash them. She would tell me she cleaned them by picking off the dirt and food. But after two weeks, I pulled them off her, kicking and screaming, and finally washed them. She was so happy to have them back. I guess I better look for another pair so I can switch off washing them. .

January 17, 2007

Carol celebrated her birthday late with a trip to Amazing Jake's. Perry came too. It was a great time! Major did lazer tag for his birthday.

Carol was selected as student of the month for music. She was so excited. She is holding the school mascot - Flash the falcon.

I finally had time to sew. This is a stupid picture of me, but I was trying to show the sleeves. I made the jacket and skirt.

Then I decided I needed a bag to go with the outfit, so at 9:00 pm I made a bag out of scraps. The main square was a piece of crazy quilt that I had done about a year ago and never did anything with.

New Hair Cuts

I couldn't brush out Lucy's tangles today so she got a haircut. She wanted one anyway and she really wanted bangs. It's very short and Juliette got one too. They are so excited about styling their own hair and I'm excited to have no more tangles!

Happy New Year!

It snowed while we were at the cabin after Christmas. The kids loved playing in the snow!

The boys fort.

I hosted a cousins party for New Year's Eve since Clint had to work. This is the "girl band".

Playing games.

Eating lots of junk food!

Playing games.

The boy "karaoke band". I missed it, but Penn was doing break dancing.

The midnight crowd.
