First Day of School

It has been a crazy few weeks! School started, but barely. Our school’s new campus didn’t get finished in time, so we are on double sessions for about a month (hopefully not longer!) The kids go to school from 7:30-11:15. Leaving so early in the morning is killing the kids and their practice time. I will be glad to be back on the normal schedule. At first I thought we would have so much extra time, but the homework fills the time allotted it! Juliette also started preschool two days a week and loves it! She has grown up so much lately. She is so sweet!
Carol auditioned for the Wizard of Oz and got a part as a munchkin. She is so excited! I’m excited for her to be in a play. Major is doing well in school. So far he has got 100% on everything. Lucy seems to like school, but comes home exhausted. It is probably a good transition for her to not go all day for awhile.

Bluewater 2006

We were home for a few days and then left for Bluewater for a week. I flew up with the kids on Monday. Clint came on Friday afternoon and we all flew home together on Sunday. It was a great week! The weather was so cool! (We wore jackets in the morning and at night.) It sprinkled some and it was really green.

We rode the quads and the Kobota all around and went looking for Indian pottery.

Major built a fort in a tree and wanted to sleep in it. They killed several rattlesnakes.

Major, Carol and Lucy swam in the water tank. (Too cold for me!)

The Ballard’s brought a new colt. It was so cute!

The new barn was a big hit. The kids played on the swings for hours!

I convinced Clint to be a real cowboy this year. He got boots, Wrangler jeans and a cowboy hat. I must say he looked really hot!

Carol found a "pet" to play with. She wanted to bring the frog home.
We had our annual fireworks show. It was great! We don’t even bother with 4th of July fireworks, we wait for Bluewater! One night they built a bonfire and we sat around and sang cowboy songs while Uncle Jim played his harmonica and the kids roasted marshmallows. There were a lot of good memories made this year! It was great!
